Cisco Catalyst 3750G WS-C3750G-48PS-S 48-Port Gigabit PoE Switch 4x SFP L3 Wty
Cisco Catalyst 3750G WS-C3750G-48PS-S 48-Port Gigabit PoE Switch
A 48-port Gigabit PoE switch with four SFP uplinks, Layer 3 routing and a 32-Gbps StackWise stacking bus. A managed enterprise switch for wiring closets running phones, access points and cameras.
Key Benefits
- 48 Gigabit PoE ports: all 48 10/100/1000 ports supply IEEE 802.3af and Cisco prestandard PoE, powering phones, access points and cameras over the same cable that carries their data.
- Four SFP uplinks: SFP-based Gigabit ports take fibre or copper transceivers for flexible uplinks to the core or between buildings.
- 32-Gbps StackWise bus: joins multiple 3750G units into a single managed switch, adding capacity without adding another device to administer.
- Layer 3 routing: route between VLANs on the switch itself instead of adding a separate router for inter-VLAN traffic.
- Fully managed: full CLI configuration, VLANs, QoS and monitoring — the standard Cisco IOS toolset.
- Rack mountable: a conventional rack-width chassis for wiring closets and comms cabinets.
Performance in Use
The 3750G was a mainstay access-layer switch for a long time, and 48-port PoE variants remain useful anywhere a wiring closet needs to power a floor of IP phones and access points. PoE on every port is the feature that keeps it relevant: one cable per device, no power adapters at the desk or in the ceiling.
StackWise is the other reason these are still deployed. Two or more units join over the 32-Gbps stacking bus and are administered as one logical switch with a single configuration and single management address. When a floor outgrows 48 ports, the fix is to add a unit to the stack rather than redesign.
Layer 3 on the IP Base image means inter-VLAN routing can happen locally rather than being trombone-routed to a firewall or core router. In a branch office or a segmented site, that keeps traffic local and simplifies the design. Note the platform is an older generation, so plan around its age for anything security-critical or bandwidth-hungry.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do all 48 ports supply PoE?
Yes. All 48 10/100/1000 ports support IEEE 802.3af and Cisco prestandard PoE.
Does it support PoE+ at 30W per port?
No. This model supplies 802.3af class power, not the higher PoE+ budget. High-draw devices may need a newer switch.
Can it route between VLANs?
Yes. It runs Layer 3 with the IP Base image, so inter-VLAN routing is handled on the switch.
Are SFP transceivers included?
No. The four SFP slots are supplied empty; transceivers are not included unless stated.
Can I stack it with another 3750G?
Yes, over the 32-Gbps StackWise bus, provided the other unit is a compatible 3750-series member.
Are rack ears and cables included?
Rack ears, stacking cables and power leads are not included unless stated.
What are the shipping costs?
Shipping costs apply based on size and destination — rates are calculated at checkout.
